GENERALLY SPEAKING
Darasamutr is an enormous school in the sea side town of Sriracha. Darasamutr school has approximately 4,621 students and 251 teachers.
Foreign teachers at Darasamutr move from class to class to teach. They teach up to 30 kindergarten students for 20 minute periods and primary students for 50 minute periods. They also teach special English language extension classes of up to 25 students. Thai teachers are usually present at classes.
Accommodation is in 2 fully furnished houses about 10 minutes walk from the school.
HOURS OF WORK
Work shall be performed Monday to Friday at Darasamutr school between the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Employee will be required to sign in and out of school at the beginning and end of each work day. The Employee shall teach 16 - 23 hours per week.
The Employee shall be required to join for a ‘get together' and do some ‘brain storming' twice a year. One month notice to be given.
The Employee shall be required to help plan, co-ordinate and facilitate in at least two English camps of no more than three days during the period of the agreement. This work will be performed outside or inside normal working hours and the Employee shall receive extra remuneration at a rate of 700 THB per day whilst on camp. The Employee shall be remunerated for travel and accommodation costs incurred by the Employee for matters relating to camp prior to the actual camp work days. The Employee shall be given at least one month's notice of an English camp to enable proper preparation and availability of such.
HOLIDAY LEAVE
The Employee is entitled to two weeks paid holiday leave twice a year in October and March according to the school schedule.
LODGING AND BOARD
The Centre makes the following accommodation provisions:
The Centre will pay for accommodation 2,500 THB per month for accommodation expenses.
ADDITIONAL REMUNERATION PROVIDED BY THE CENTRE
The Centre will pay and provide the following:
12 month Thai work permit and non-immigrant visa and multiple re - entry permit, 12,000 THB in airfare cost or bonus at the end of the contract, 3,000 THB for reimbursement for vaccinations and visa, accident insurance cover in Thailand under the same provisions as for local teachers. |
